ROBERT “TAK” TAKVORIAN, Senior Advisor: Energy
Mr. Takvorian, known as “Tak” for the 45 years he was involved in the downstream petroleum sector. Tak has worked for Mobil, Coastal States, Northeast Petroleum, Charter Oil, Cargill Energy and Irving Oil in various capacities to include: President Northeast Petroleum, VP residual oil trading, bunker fuel supply manager, manager product distribution & logistics, comptroller and various capacities in industry segments to include: VP terminal operations, President of a large group of retail heating oil companies in New England, manager of a chain of branded and unbranded retail gasoline stations, wholesale sales manager andsenior financial analyst in areas of new product development and M&A activities. Tak spent 4 months in Liberia,just before the coup d’état of President Talbot, with Coastal States working with a team to handle the country’s importation of finished products while structuring a deal to purchase an inactive refinery in West Africa. He holds a BS in Economics and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Suffolk University in Boston MA. Tak is semi-retired and splits his time between his residence just north of Boston and his home in Falmouth on Cape Cod.
