RICHARD GRIFFITH, Senior Advisor: Manufacturing / Technology
Mr. Griffith is the Founder/President of Eastern Machinery Corp. a Manufactures Rep. Organization operating in eleven states. The company is dedicated to serving the Machine Tool Industry with the highest quality components for their machine builds. Mr. Griffith was also a Co-Founder of Industrial Motion Systems, Inc. which designs and builds Special Machinery which incorporates components sold by Eastern Machinery. The company also developed the Next Generation Waterjet Cutting Systems for Commercial Sales and Special Waterjet Systems for the Oil & Gas Industry. Mr. Griffith has an extensive and very successful career in the field of Advance Manufacturing Systems and large project development and implementation. He began his career as a co-op student at Bradley University for the Burlington Railroad while attending Engineering School, whereupon graduation he was hired in the Engineering Department. At Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool as a Senior Project Engineer, Mr. Griffith working on Advance Machine Tool Machinery and later as the Application Engineering Supervisor for the Gilman Engineering Division focusing on conceptual work on Advanced Automatic Assembly and Test Systems. All equipment was built for the Automotive Industry and their main component suppliers. Customers included: Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Chrysler, American Motors, Bendix and other major suppliers. Mr. Griffith then became the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor at Ford Motor Company where he was responsible for the Assembly, Testing and Prototype component development for all Auto and Truck HVAC System components.
